Who runs Greenville Senior Advisor?
Greenville Senior Advisor is a privately run referral and guidance service for older adults and their families in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Laurens counties; it has no connection to the S.C. Department of Public Health, SCDHHS, the Appalachian or Upper Savannah Councils of Governments or any care provider, and it owns no facilities.
Think of the site as the homework we would do for our own parents. It sets out what Regulation 60-84 actually says, which programs SCDHHS runs and what they pay in 2026, and what DPH's license data shows for every building in the four counties, with the source beside each claim. Behind the site is a person you can talk to: an advisor who asks what a typical day looks like for your mother or father and then suggests a handful of licensed places that fit.
Who pays Greenville Senior Advisor, and why does that matter to you?
Facilities that work with referral services pay us a fee after a family we introduced moves in; families pay nothing, before or after.
Money from facilities creates an obvious temptation to steer families toward the buildings that pay. Our answer is to publish the whole roster: every DPH-licensed CRCF and nursing home in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Laurens counties appears in the directory with the same data fields, partner or not. Hold us to it. When an advisor suggests a building, you should hear why in terms you can check against DPH's license record or CMS's figures.
What does the directory include, and what does it leave out?
It includes every active community residential care facility, nursing home, home health, hospice, in-home care and adult day care license that DPH's data shows for the four counties, with the state's own license numbers, bed counts and Alzheimer's flags, DPH enforcement orders since January 2025, and CMS ratings for certified nursing homes.
Reviews, marketing claims and homemade scores are deliberately absent. Several numbers families want simply do not exist in public data, among them a Greenville price median, a memory care median and CRCF inspection results; where that is the case we say so and explain how to get the information directly.
How can families or facilities contact Greenville Senior Advisor?
Write to advisors@greenvillesenioradvisor.com, call (864) 727-7409, or answer the short care-match questions on any page and an advisor will be in touch; facility operators who spot a display error in their state data can use the same address.
For an emergency, call 911. To report possible abuse, neglect or exploitation of a vulnerable adult living at home in South Carolina, call DSS Adult Protective Services at 1-888-227-3487 (1-888-CARE4US).
Which part of the Upstate does Greenville Senior Advisor serve?
Greenville County (Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Taylors, Travelers Rest and Fountain Inn), Anderson County, Pickens County (Easley, Clemson, Pickens, Central) and Laurens County (Laurens and Clinton).
Spartanburg, Oconee and Cherokee counties and facilities across the state line in North Carolina or Georgia are outside our directory. North Carolina and Georgia license assisted living under their own laws, so their records are not comparable.
